Travel Inspired Art

I am casting a wide net, or should I say broad strokes, using the term “travel inspired art.” These are pieces which are inspired by trips abroad; as well as, journeys within. Each piece of art celebrates the miraculous beauty of nature; the amazing world around us; and the journey of self-discovery along the way.

All pieces are sold as high resolution DIGITAL DOWNLOADS which are sent to your email and can be saved to your computer after purchase. The digital download will be free of the “Wheelie Girl Travel” watermark shown in the preview photos. Once purchased the digital print will be available to download in several aspect ratios depending on your desired print size or frame size:

Optimal Aspect Ratio for Print Size in Inches Guide:
2:3 – 4×6, 12×18, 20×30, 24×36
3:4 – 9×12, 18×24
4:5 – 8×10, 11×14, 16×20

(So for example if you wanted a print optimized for a 9 inch by 12 inch frame, you would download the print with a 3:4 aspect ratio. While if you wanted a 12 inch by 18 inch you would download the 2:3 aspect ratio)

Once the payment is processed, the digital files will be sent via email, and can be downloaded. Please note there may be a delay while the order is processed before the links will be emailed and available for download. Since the site is new, paypal puts a hold on all transactions, so I have to manually process all orders. Please allow 24 hours for your order to clear. An email will be sent with the download links. If the email isn’t in your main inbox, be sure to double check your spam or junk folders. If your order has not been completed within 48 hours send me an email at kendra@wheeliegirltravel.com and I will send you the digital copies directly. Purchases can be cancelled and refunded while processing, but due to the digital nature of the products, once the order is complete and the digital files are sent, sales are final and no refunds will be issued.

Once downloaded from the emailed link and saved to your computer or drive, these may be printed at home, or taken to a printing facility (such as Staples, Vistaprint or Costco) to create your own custom sized piece of artwork to display. If you wish to frame the print, frames can be found at Michaels, Amazon, thrift stores, dollar stores, or garage sales.

These digital downloads are free to use for any non-commercial use: in addition to prints you can use them for custom clothing, one of a kind stationary, or greeting cards to make the perfect gift for any occasion. Or they can be enjoyed in digital form as a desktop wallpaper or screensaver.

To scope out my physical paintings that are available, check out my Poshmark store for canvases and jean jackets.

Several paintings in a collage format. The top left shows a pink lotus flower against a white background with a long green stem. The bottom left shows a yellow sun reflecting over waves. The top middle shows a sketch of a women's eye. The bottom middle shows a buddha figure with orange bokeh lights in the background. The top right shows the wheelie girl travel logo against an orange and purple sunset background. The bottom right shows an impasto painting with pink blossoms with white centers and green leaves. All of the paintings are on canvases.

I hope you enjoy, and thank you for your support!

My foray into painting began during my 2 month stay at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. Prior to this the closest I came was drawing outcrop sketches of rock formations and petrographic microscope slides for geology classes. So in other words, slim to nothing before my hospital stint.

Needless to say it has quickly become a source of therapy, expression and a form of meditation. It has also been rewarding (and at times frustrating) picking up and learning a new skill. This has been especially true over the last year after re-breaking my back hardware and having two back surgeries in the span of a year and a half. All in all, it has been a transformative and healing hobby. Especially whilst navigating covid and isolation on top of everything else.
